PSA: Healthy soil is our friend.

Most people don’t realize that many of the ingredients in their pet’s food are grown—just like their own. And the health of those ingredients depends on something often overlooked: the soil.

Today, thanks to intense farming practices and erosion, soil is degrading at an alarming rate, threatening our ability to grow nutritious food for both our pets and us. To raise awareness about this critical issue, we teamed up with actor and passionate pet parent Ian Somerhalder to launch the world’s first Farmers Market for Dogs.

 

Our market had it all

Stands filled with local produce and seasonal flowers. Paw-strology readings (yes, it’s a thing). Nutro samples. Free merch. Pup lounges. Demos to help pet parents learn about the magic of soil.

 
 

It was also super dog-friendly.

We worked with pet behaviorists and experts to make sure the market was an experience uniquely designed for dogs. That meant tables at snout-level, pet-safe food and sensory touchpoints to engage their touch and sight, and treats everywhere. It truly was a great time to be a dog.
